Principal's Message
About 50 Kms from Valsad City on Valsad-Nashik Highway, Government Arts College, Kaparada, the higher institution of learning is situated 1 Km. away from Kaparada Town. Surrounded by hillocks, deep ravines and embellished with a variety of trees, Kaparada is a remote tribal taluka of Gujarat State. Popularly known as the Cherapunji of Gujarat, Kaparada experiences a heavy rainfall during monsoon. Distinct for its topography, panorama, flora and fauna, Kaparada seems to transform its existence into an essence in terms of its rich indigenous culture. With a vision capable of penetrating deep into the bosom of nature, Swami Vivekananda while ascending the Girnar Mountain in Saurashtra, did equate its steep height and slope with the ups and downs of human life. Interpreting this analogy in terms of harsh geographical region, poor socio- economic condition, its diligent inhabitants, we may discern an apotheosis in terms of exuberance. The college campus is spread over 0-92-52 square meter land in addition to 2-31-18 square meter land allocated for playground. Thus, the college has a total area of 3-23-76 square meter (approximately 8 acre) land.
Government Arts College, Kaparada is a Degree Model College, established in 2012 by the Government of Gujarat, especially for tribal students. It offers UG Bachelor of Arts Programme in Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Gujarati, History and Sociology as Major/Minor subjects. It is affiliated to Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat. The college provides a healthy and congenial ambience to all. blends its curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities with the postulates of New Education Policy like Panchprakalp, Startup and Innovation and also through outreach/Extension activities, together with stake holders opens up Gandhian metaphor of window for our students while upholding that the New Education Policy is nothing but a modified version of Gandhian National Scheme of Education.
